Prime Minister Hon. Kassim Majaliwa has urged citizens to cooperate with the Government to provide information about Suppliers and drug users in their areas. He said it when he was opening the Methadone building at the Mbeya Regional Appeal Hospital.
Hon. Prime Minister congratulated the Mbeya Regional Commissioner Mh. Amos Makalla manages and controls the replacement of drug addiction and marketing and regulating the Regional Government continues to manage boundaries to control the trade.
Hon. Majaliwa has thanked HJFMRI-Water Reed Programs to finance the building with a view to psychological rehabilitation of drug victims
Executive Director of Regional Hospital Representative Dr. Mbwanji has said that methadone services have shown significant success to drug users and help many young people return to development activities.
Dr. Why he said in 2016 the Mbeya Region of Appeal Hospital has had an annual increase in 2000 patients in the Department of Mental Health, ranging from 2014-2016 to an increase in drug use.
The Methadone Building has been built under HJFMRI's funding through the Water Reed Program.
