The Government Builds Dry Port in Mbeya

Mbeya District Council has allocated 110 acres for the Tanzania Harbor Port Authority to start construction of dry port in Inyala area

Head of Mbeya Region Hon. Amos Makalla has accompanied the Regional Security Committee and District Security Committee to inspect the proposed area for Dry Harbor.

Speaking to the Hon. Makalla thanked the people for the proposed construction of a dry harbor and treachery who would swear to be paid compensation in accordance with the law.

The construction of dry ports in Mbeya Region is an economic strategy and has a huge economic benefit from individuals, villages, councils, councils, provinces and the nation as a whole.

Makalla said that a dry port that will be built will serve Malawi, Zambia and Congo and dry harbor construction will increase employment and will also help improve TAZARA

In addition, he called on the council and the Ports Authority to speed up the appreciation and repayment for construction to begin early

Port Manager Mr. Ajuaye Msese thanked the Inyala Warders and the Mbeya Councilors to provide a place for the construction of Dry Harbor.

Mr. Msese said the Authority is in a good position to start the construction of dry harbor in Mbeya Region which will be an integral part of the Freight Transportation from Dar es Salaam via TAZARA railways to neighboring Malawi, Zambia and the DRC.
