SIDO Traders Remain in SIDO Area

Mbeya Regional Commissioner Hon. Amos Makalla has asked SIDO traders to continue doing business in the area and order the City Council to develop a good mechanical system, infrastructure and all the precautions that will enable them to deal with the disasters in the future.

Speaking with traders during the submission of the SIDO Fire Expert Exams Case Report Hon. Makalla said that area had long-term problems where the Regional Government took the decision to submit to the top leadership where the leadership ordered the Regional Office to begin the process of changing the use of the area.

Hon. Makalla said the leadership of SIDO has agreed to allow traders to continue using the area for the market on terms of agreement between the SIDO and the City Council of how to operate the Market.

Dr. Tulia Ackson Deputy Speaker of the United Republic of Tanzania has made it clear to the traders for the impact they had received with their assets and showed great stability and enabled the committee to work well without disturbance.

Dr. Ackson has requested regional leadership to provide marketing solutions to help determine how best to keep marketing alert so that the risk of markets cannot be repeated. Dr Tulia has offered Tshs. 10 million as a pole to the market victims.
