Training for a New System of Accounting and Reporting (F FARS) For Accountants in Education and Health Sectors of the Regions of Southern Highlands has entered into a second day in Mbeya.
The training that involving Councils Accountants from Mbeya, Iringa, Njombe, Katavi, Rukwa and Songwe in education and health sectors which are expected to be trainers in the ward level for primary schools, secondary, dispensaries and health centers.
Moreover on the first day participants were trained to understand the real meaning of the new system and taught techniques FFARS the system before and after the introduction of its establishment
These participants also had the opportunity to be taught procurement system, recording of financial transitions, meaning and types of accounting documents and books of accounting and acknowledging revenue, writing payment voucher, Cheque, cash book.
However, some of the training participants said that their expectations are going to teach teachers and administrators in dispensaries and health centers of the new system of electronically accounting to bring accountability and discipline on money.
They said a large percentage of the staff in the ward and village level have no understanding about what gives Accounting difficulty during delivery of financial information to the inspectors so after getting an education will help to remove the limitations that were unfolding.
The new strategy to improve the health sector is the support from the Agency for International Development (USAID) through the project of strengthening of public sector systems (PS3) which focused on health, education, agriculture and water.
Moreover PS3 project is being implemented in five years in 13 regions of mainland Tanzania focusing on communication systems, good governance and public participation, Human Resources and Finance in communities with limited resources.
